It Sounds Like Raiders Players Couldn't Wait to Get Rid of Antonio Brown

It was confirmed Saturday that Antonio Brown's tenure with the Oakland Raiders ended before it ever began. Two days before their season-opener Monday night against the Denver Broncos, the Raiders responded to AB's release demands by cutting the All-Pro wideout loose, once and for all.

There's no doubting that Jon Gruden and Co., at the time of the trade and even after some of the headaches he caused, wanted Mr. Big Chest apart of their squad in 2019. After all, he's undoubtedly the league's best WR.

Well, flash forward to this week's seemingly never-ending episode of drama and petulance, and it seems that Raiders players are more than relieved that he's out of town.

Yeah, that about sums up the entire offseason. We're tired of covering this annoying saga, so we can't even imagine what Brown's former teammates are thinking. The former Steeler proved, time and time again, that he viewed himself as the superior to that of his organization and new teammates.

In doing so, he was served a fresh dose of comeuppance, as he essentially threw $30 million in guaranteed money out the door because he refused to freaking grow up.

At long last, Gruden and his players can finally put down the Advil and be free of the migraines continuously dealt to them by the narcissistic, ignorant pass catcher. It's nothing they didn't deserve after this offseason.
