Morant shared how they pushed him to keep being great, and how they always propped him up and built up his confidence. The talent was already there for him to be great, of course. Morant's parents then gave him the motivation to succeed and end up being the No. 2 overall pick in the NBA Draft out of a mid-major school like Murray State.
