Jadeveon Clowney Dealing With Painful Hip and Core Injury
By Michael Luciano

The Seattle Seahawks might have one of the better pass rushes in the league, but they will have to take on Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles without a key member.
Former Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney met with a specialist in Philly to discuss his hip/core injury that could easily sideline him. Despite the potentially serious injury, Clowney is expected to play through the pain, though it might not be this week.
#Seahawks DE Jadeveon Clowney flew ahead of the team, spending Friday meeting with a specialist — believed to be Dr. William Meyers in Philly — before the game vs the #Eagles, source said. Clowney, who has impressed this season, is hoping to play through a hip/core muscle injury.

Despite meeting with the specialist, he's not expected to play this week.
With 20 mins to inactives, it sounds as if the #Seahawks will be without Clowney today. Stay tuned. https://t.co/OS0qhP83Zc

It's taken a while for Clowney to get settled in Ken Norton Jr.'s defensive scheme in Seattle, as he has just three sacks on the season, but he's finally starting to look comfortable. Clowney destroyed the San Francisco 49ers, hitting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo five times while also picking up a sack and running a fumble back for a touchdown.
Disappointing first-round pick LJ Collier or 2018 third-round pick Rasheem Green will be the most likely candidates to spell Clowney. However, it goes without saying that those two lack the same intimidation factor Clowney has.
