By Michael Luciano

The protests across America after the killing of George Floyd are making waves internationally, as evidenced by what Borussia Dortmund star winger Jadon Sancho did after netting against Paderborn in Bundesliga action. Sancho took his jersey off to reveal a shirt that read "Justice for George Floyd." Not long after, Sancho scored his second goal in what has been a banner day for the young English speedster.

This wasn't the only tribute to Floyd and/or the protestors in the Bundesliga today. Müonchengladbach star forward Marcus Thuram knelt after his second goal of the day to show that he is allied with the protesters fighting for equality.

Even English and French players currently suiting up in Germany have been personally touched by the Floyd killing and the protests across the United States. These protests have become a global discussion point, not just an American one. The more awareness is raised, the higher probability that awareness turns into action.
