Jagaurs sign Evan Engram to big-time extension

The Jaguars were able to get things done with star tight end Evan Engram with time to spare. On Monday at 4 p.m. ET, the deadline will arrive for teams to ink players placed on the tag to contract extensions.
Well, Jacksonville got things done earlier than expected, coming to terms with Engram on a three-year deal worth $41.25 million, with $24 million guaranteed.

Essentially, a 2 year extension with the tag for $14.953M per year. After a career year, Engram gets paid. pic.twitter.com/G7vymD4O4U
This is a major payday for Engram, who has earned his bag after posting a strong year for the Jags in 2022. Now, he'll hope to put up even bigger numbers for Trevor Lawrence after getting paid top dollar.
