Jaguars firing Urban Meyer simply had to be done

Don't let the door hit you on the way out? That's what Jacksonville Jaguars fans must be thinking about Urban Meyer right now. The head coach was finally fired by Jacksonville. This was a long time coming.

Meyer led the team to a 2-11 record. The latest accusation from Josh Lambo sure was daunting, as he claimed Meyer kicked him for not connecting on field goals in practice. Yup, that will get you canned.

This was a disaster from the start. The Jaguars surely regret hiring Meyer, but they most definitely made the right call in sending him packing. Talk about an awful decision to bring him in in the first place.
