Jaguars name Trevor Lawrence their Week 1 starter

In a move that should shock absolutely no one, the Jacksonville Jaguars are ready to have Trevor Lawrence run the show from the moment the regular season kicks off. On Wednesday, Urban Meyer named Lawrence his starter for Week 1.

Lawrence was of course selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Now, everyone will be ready to see what the rookie can do against the Houston Texans on Sept. 12.
