Jaguars QB Nick Foles Suffers Broken Collarbone Against Chiefs
By Michael Luciano

After signing a four-year contract in the offseason, much was expected of Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles. Before his career in Jacksonville could ever properly start, Foles was forced to leave the season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs after going down hard.
Jagaurs fans saw their worst fears confirmed, as Foles broke his collarbone and will miss a good chunk of time.

Foles' last pass before leaving the game was a rainbow touchdown pass to DJ Chark.
And the outlook doesn't bode well, thanks to Foles himself admitting the injury is far worse than the last time he suffered it in 2014.

If there is any silver lining to this performance, sixth-round pick Gardner Minshew looked like the second coming in relief, as he started off his career with 12 straight completions and ended up 22-of-25, with 275 yards and two touchdown passes. Not too shabby for a sixth-round pick out of Washington State.

While Minshew's performance against one of the best teams in the league has to undoubtedly inspire confidence, what was looking to be a rough season for the Jaguars is only going to get worse thanks to Foles' season-altering injury.
