Jaguars signed pass-rusher Josh Allen to a massive extension

The offseason of superstar players getting paid continues. Just ask Jacksonville Jaguars outside linebacker Josh Allen about that, as the AFC South side has made the playmaker quite happy this week with a monster extension.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Jaguars and Allen were able to come to terms on a five-year contract worth $150 million, with $88 million guaranteed. Yup, that's a whole lot of dough for one of the best pass-rushers in the league.

This new deal for Allen is quite similar to the one the Giants just gave Brian Burns after they acquired him via trade with the Panthers. Allen posted 17.5 sacks last season, a franchise record for the Jags. Once he takes the field come Week 1, he'll be doing so knowing his financial future is surely taken care of.
