Buffalo Bills quarterback Jake Fromm shared some incredibly distasteful thoughts on race in America at one of the worst possible times. A leaked text conversation from Twitter user @ashleymp20 that is supposedly between herself and the former Georgia Bulldog depicts the rising rookie as being startlingly casual about offensive attitudes.
Fromm said that only "elite white people" should be able to get their hands on guns and suppressors, effectively putting himself in that category of "elites." Considering the social climate in America, these opinions have undoubtedly caused a firestorm across social media.

Fromm, who fell to the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft despite an extremely successful career at Georgia, supposedly followed these texts up by texting a friend of the user who shared the original texts. Fromm allegedly wants these incriminating pictures off of Twitter, with the second set of pictures containing a text that asserts the Bills are looking into "dropping" him.

CAA Sports, the agency that represents Fromm, didn't respond to initial requests for comment. They reportedly hung up when asked about him.
We reached out to Jake Fromm's representation asking for a comment or acknowledgement on Fromm's alleged texts about "elite white" trending on social media and they hung up on us. @CAA_Football

Ultimately, however, Fromm himself acknowledged the controversy and issued a personal mea culpa.

This is an extremely bad look for a guy trying his hardest to catch on in the NFL. It's hard to imagine worse timing for such an incident, as his road to ingratiating himself to his new teammates in such trying times.
