James Conner Returning for Steelers
By Michael Luciano
The Pittsburgh Steelers have been able to tread water with a practice squad quarterback and running back for the last few games, but it's clear they could still use the services of star running back James Conner, who has missed the last few games with a shoulder injury.
While Conner was listed as questionable for the Sunday Night game against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, Conner is expected to play through his shoulder injury and make his first appearance since that ugly Steelers-Browns game in November.
Conner has struggled this season, piling up just 390 yards on the ground and averaging 3.8 yards per carry. The likes of Jaylen Samuels, Benny Snell and Trey Edmunds have been able to at least hold down the fort until Conner returned.
Against this dominant Buffalo defense, Conner will be sorely needed to take the pressure off of Devlin Hodges.
Conner's injury troubles haven't done much to derail Pittsburgh's push to the playoffs this season, but it's always nice to get a 230-pound sledgehammer back in the backfield.
