The New York Giants might be cutting one of their best defensive players, but even the staunchest of Giants fans will be thrilled with their latest personnel move.

Cornerback Janoris Jenkins, who recently called a fan a horrendous slur on Twitter and then doubled down on that choice of language when asked about it, has been waived by the Giants. Based on Jenkins' latest Twitter activity, it doesn't sound like he's too heartbroken about his release.

Jenkins is leading the team with four interceptions, but the decision to call a fan an extremely outdated NSFW insult, then refusing to apologize for it, is quite simply conduct unbecoming of an NFL player.

Kudos to Pat Shurmur for having the backbone and fortitude to drop Jenkins without a moment's hesitation.

Plain and simple, some dudes "get it"" and some don't. Jenkins doesn't. He might be leading the team in interceptions, but I doubt most Giants fans are sad to see him go.

With declining play at the age of 31 and a noticeable lack of a filter, Jenkins' NFL prospects aren't looking too bountiful at this point in time.
