Jarvis Landry Tries to Troll Browns Teammate Denzel Ward Before Wednesday Night Madden Battle
By Evan Wolff
Professional athletes are as competitive as they come, and we were gifted another example on Wednesday. When it comes to competition amongst teammates, especially in the NFL, that urge to try and win at all costs is amplified in order to obtain bragging rights.
In a Madden tournament that was announced this week, Cleveland Browns teammates Jarvis Landry and Denzel Ward were drawn against each other in the opening round. Landry tried to get Ward to reveal his strategy for the upcoming contest. What ensued was a hilarious exchange through text between the Browns teammates.
It just shows nothing is off-limits when any type of prize is on the line. Ward saw right through Landry and refused to give up any information. Even when the tournament benefits those suffering financial hardships from the COVID-19 pandemic, the players want to win as bad as if it was an NFL regular season game.
Without any advantage given to him by his Browns teammate, Landry will just have to try and win a game of Madden the old-fashioned way.
