Jason Garrett Reveals Troubling Injury Update on Dak Prescott Despite Positive MRI Results
By Michael Luciano

The Dallas Cowboys have a season-altering matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on the docket, and they might have to play this game with quarterback Dak Prescott at less than 100%.
According to Jason Garrett, Prescott is nursing a shoulder injury that has left him "not very functional" at the moment.
Jason Garrett says Prescott had an MRI that indicated no structural damage but he’s not very functional at the moment.

Prescott is second in the NFL in passing yards with 4,334 in total, and has tossed 26 touchdown passes against 11 interceptions in his first season under new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.
While Prescott going down to injury might as well be the final nail in the coffin for the Cowboys, Dallas' latest update on Prescott implies that he is "just banged up" and will be limited in practice today, but is not in danger of missing any games -- though it doesn't entirely make sense considering Garrett also added that Prescott is having trouble throwing the ball.

Tyron Smith has right eye injury (it's closed) and he won't practice today. Dak Prescott is nursing a shoulder injury, and will be limited.

MRI was done. Results fine. Just 'banged up'. #Cowboys
If the absolute worst-case scenario comes true and Prescott is unable to play against the Eagles, backup Cooper Rush, who is 1-of-3 for two yards in his pro career, would be next in line. It's safe to say that Dallas' offense isn't going to be as effective with Rush under center as compared to Prescott.
