Jason Whitlock Sparks Moronic Discussion About Chiefs and Raiders QBs on FS1
By Michael Luciano

We're all in agreement that Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, despite how excellent he has played this season, is not as good of a passer as Kansas City Chiefs MVP Patrick Mahomes, right?
Well, leave it to Jason Whitlock, a former Chiefs beat writer, to masterfully play the role of contrarian, as he claimed that he would rather have the Raiders quarterback situation than Kansas City's.
What?!?!!! Who comes up with this?

To be fair, Whitlock tried to put a Band-Aid on this gaping flesh wound of a take by saying the Raiders will be more financially flexible with Carr, a 29-year-old in the middle of a career year, than the Chiefs with Mahomes in a few years.
While Kansas City will have to pay Mahomes an ungodly amount of money in the near future, $19.9 million a season for four more years of Derek Carr is by no means a bargain, and 100 out of 100 Raiders fans would rather have Mahomes under center.
“The #Raiders have the best QB situation in the AFC West.”

-@WhitlockJason @LaVarArrington agrees.
This takes contract situations into account. They’re not saying Carr is better than Mahomes, but they like the flexibility of his contract + plus how he’s performed lately.
Carr's been phenomenal this season, but Mahomes is in superstar territory, and anyone saying that Kansas City doesn't have the best QB situation in the league needs to re-evaluate.
Whitlock once again delivered the worst of takes, and we shouldn't at all be surprised.
