Jason Witten Claims His Touchdown Spike Against the Rams Was the First of His Career

The Dallas Cowboys destroyed the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday and Jason Witten even found himself in the end zone to get the scoring started in the first quarter.

Witten uncharacteristically spiked the ball after his touchdown, which he admitted after the game was his first-ever spike in his 16-year career.

Witten even went as far as to say that he'd be apologizing to his granddad for the spike. The seasoned veteran is used to scoring big touchdowns, but this one-handed grab was one of the nicest of his career, and even he may have been a bit surprised by it.

Witten finished the game with four catches for 36 yards and his one touchdown. He wasn't even needed late in the game after the Cowboys jumped out to a 28-7 lead at the half.

The win keeps the Cowboys in the NFC East playoff race and if the team does win the division, prop bets can be made on what a Witten celebration in January can look like.
