Jason Witten Reportedly Expected to Leave Cowboys in Free Agency
By Jack Murphy

Longtime Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten may find himself suiting up in different colors by the start of the 2020-21 season.
According to Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Witten is expected to leave the Dallas Cowboys in free agency.
Jason Witten, who turns 38 in May, hopes to play in the fall, but it probably won't be for the only NFL home he's known.https://t.co/WMhHFKGp83

WItten has spent his entire 16-year career in the NFL with the Cowboys and represented them in 11 Pro Bowls. However, the Cowboys are expected to go with a younger approach at the position. With Witten sitting at 38 years of age, he doesn't fit in Dallas' plans.
So where does the aging Witten go from here? He went on the record saying that he does not want to retire, even if he cannot play for the Cowboys.
His best fit might just be with his longtime rival the New York Giants. Witten can provide veteran leadership to a young offense. He would most likely serve as Evan Engram's backup, unless the team trades Witten's younger counterpart. The durable Witten would also reunite with Jason Garrett, who is the new offensive coordinator of the Giants.

It is going to take some time getting used to Witten in a different uniform, but he still has some gas left in the tank and can contribute to winning football.
