Jason Witten Offers Incredibly High Praise of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes
By Scott Rogust
The Kansas City Chiefs reached their first Super Bowl in 50 years, and a majority of the credit goes to quarterback Patrick Mahomes. In both playoff games against the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans, the Chiefs faced early deficits, but Mahomes put the team on his back and helped them clinch a berth in Super Bowl LIV.
He's already gotten praise from fans, peers, and legends alike, and we can now add another to the list.
While appearing on the "Rich Eisen Show," Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten told the host that Mahomes is even better than the hype surrounding him.
That's a glowing endorsement by an NFL mainstay.
Witten has seen firsthand how great Mahomes was in his first season as Kansas City's starting quarterback, via ESPN's "Monday Night Football" booth. The only meeting we've seen between the two was when Witten broke the Pro Bowl MVP Award in front of Mahomes.
The Chiefs signal caller threw for 615 yards, eight touchdowns, and zero interceptions on a 65.7 completion percentage in his two playoff games this season.
You can add Witten to the Mahomes fan club, and trust us when we say, it's a big club.
