Javier Baez Forced to Exit Sunday's Game With Heel Contusion

The Cubs left Washington, DC with a series win over the Nationals, but failed to come away completely unscathed.
Superstar infielder Javier Baez suffered a heel injury and exited the game Sunday night between the two teams in the sixth inning.

Baez had gone 0-3 with an RBI in the game before his removal. For the season, He is hitting .319 and is arguably the most important player on this Cubs roster. Manager Joe Maddon took him out likely as a precaution given that they play Monday night on a quick turnaround.

Hopefully the injury is not serious, as his bat and glove are both irreplaceable.
