Javier Baez Posts Photo With Yankees 'Legend' CC Sabathia Ahead of Cubs' Spring Training Game

CC Sabathia's playing career is over, but it comes as no surprise that the former Yankees' southpaw has remained close to the game.
CC has even been around for Spring Training, it appears, and he paid a visit to the Cubs' facilities on Wednesday after getting back from his ski trip under the Northern Lights.
Even star shortstop Javier Baez couldn't resist the temptation of snapping a quick photo with the 39-year-old, and he posted the picture of the pair on social media.

One of the game's emerging superstars standing with one of the best southpaws to ever toe the rubber. That's a ton of talent in one photo.
Sabathia hung up the cleats after a remarkable 19-year career, after spending his last 11 seasons in the Bronx. Baez was ecstatic over the opportunity to meet the legendary lefty, and took to social media to show just how honored he was to have been in the company of the iconic starter.
Yankees need a 5th starter for a few weeks until Paxton and German come back. I know someone who's available ... pic.twitter.com/9eDkZXhMh3

Clearly enjoying retirement, Sabathia, like many other Yankee players do in the offseason, has let his beard grow free, no longer restricted by the team's clean-shaven policy. With his new beard on full display, Sabathia decided to pay a visit to the Cubbies' facility down in Mesa.
