Jay Bruce Just Rubbing it in Now for Mets Fans With Latest Jarred Kelenic Interview
By Ryan Flores

This absolutely has to sting for New York Mets fans.
On Tuesday, Jay Bruce talked with Newsday's Tim Healey about former Mets prospect Jarred Kelenic, who is now with the Seattle Mariners after the Mets traded him in the offseason. In the interview, Bruce mentioned how much the Mariners love Kelenic, and discussed his own thoughts on the 19-year-old.
Jay Bruce on Jarred Kelenic, his fellow trade piece and former Met: "I’ll tell you what: They (the Mariners) really like him over there. He’s got every tool that you need to be a good player."

Bruce absolutely trolled the Mets here, who look like the big losers in the trade that sent Edwin Díaz and Robinson Canó to Queens. Many Mets fans groaned at the sight of this tweet, and voiced their displeasure on Twitter.
Great tweet, Tim! Now I can rest easy at night after getting Jay Bruce’s opinion on Kelenic ?

Here's another one.
Why are you doing this to us... ?

With every bit of news about Kelenic that comes out, Mets fans everywhere wallow in completely misery. He was supposed to be the future of the Mets, but was unfortunately traded for a 36-year-old second baseman and a closer.
It's even rougher now that Bruce is playing for their rival Phillies.
Hey, remember when the #Mets traded 19 yr old Jarred Kelenic - arguably the best prospect in all of baseball - for 36 yr old Robinson Cano, arguably the worst all-around player in the #MLB? That was a good deal, right @GMBVW? Cano $24 mil this season; JK’s ENTIRE contract is 4.5.

As of right now, Kelenic is hitting .273 with 8 runs batted in and 4 swiped bags at High-A Modesto, and is looking like the future five-tool star the Mariners hoped they were getting in the deal, which hasn't panned out for the Mets.
At least you have Brett Baty to look forward to Mets fans. Well, at least until Mets GM Brodie Van Wagenen trades him in the offseason.
