Jay Glazer Provides Update on 49ers-Odell Beckham Trade Rumors
This offseason, the rumors surrounding superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. have been as spicy as ever. With word going around he could be traded once again, this time by the Browns, fan bases across the country have been drooling at the thought of OBJ heading to town.
Of late, the San Francisco 49ers have been the team mentioned quite a bit among NFL circles. However, insider Jay Glazer provided an update on Monday that those in the Bay Area surely won't enjoy.
"Nope. No truth to that," Glazer wrote in his mailbag. "Sorry, gang. I know the 49ers loved him but they are trying to rebuild draft capital, not give up draft capital."
John Schneider and Pete Carroll are undoubtedly thrilled to see this in Seattle. The 49ers adding OBJ to the mix with Jimmy Garoppolo and George Kittle would be an absolute nightmare for the entire NFC. However, it doesn't look like the dream scenario for 49ers supporters will be coming to fruition.
As for the Browns, will they end up trading Beckham after all, or would they rather bring him back to try and get this team to the postseason?
There's no questioning OBJ's talent. Any team would be lucky to have him. While his future is up in the air in Cleveland, for now, we do know he likely won't be heading to SF to join the NFC West powers.
