Jay Gruden Admits He Has No Idea What the Redskins Are Going to Do at Quarterback
The Washington Redskins' horrific start to the season has raised numerous uncomfortable questions about what the team, and specifically what head coach Jay Gruden, is even doing anymore.
In Sunday's abysmal loss to the Giants, struggling quarterback Case Keenum was pulled mid-game to give rookie Dwayne Haskins some run. Unforntunately, the former Ohio State star didn't do much better.
This has brought much speculation on who will start Week 5 against the fearsome Patriots. But when asked what the plan was, Gruden gave a... less than ideal response.
It's becoming more and more evident that the Redskins have no clue on the direction the franchise wants to take. And it's a bit difficult not to feel sympathy for Haskins being drafted into this less-than-ideal situation.
(Well, maybe it is if you're a Giants fan.)
Let's hope Gruden and the team can figure out what they're doing so we don't see a promising prospect like Haskins go to waste. But based on the current indications, the odds aren't in this coaching staff's favor.
