VIDEO: Jaylen Waddle Scores 3rd Touchdown Against Auburn as Iron Bowl Dominance Continues
By Karl Rasmussen
Jaylen Waddle could be a WR1 on 99 percent of college football teams. He would certainly be the WR2 on just about any program, and there's almost no way he'd ever fall below being the team's WR3. Well, at Alabama, Waddle ranks on the depth chart as the team's fourth wideout. But you wouldn't know it with the day he's had on Saturday. The Alabama wideout hauled in his third score of the day in the third quarter to hand the Crimson Tide a 38-37 lead in the Iron Bowl.
Yes, that's how stacked this Alabama wide receiving corps is. The fact that a player as explosive as Waddle is the WR4 is absurd. He's shown on countless occasions this season just how talented he is, yet he's still behind guys like Jerry Jeudy, Devonta Smith and Henry Ruggs in the pecking order.
The sophomore is a true star, and he's stepping out of the shadow of the aforementioned trio with his huge game on Saturday.
