Jeff McNeil Reportedly Dealing With Minor Wrist Injury
By Karl Rasmussen

One of the Mets' brightest assets suffered a minor knock late in Wednesday's game, but fortunately it's not believed to be too serious.
Rookie utility man Jeff McNeil reportedly suffered a wrist injury against the White Sox, but manager Mickey Callaway claimed the ailment was minor.

Hopefully Callaway's being truthful with his words here, as losing McNeil would be a major blow to a Mets team on the verge of turning their season around.
They've won five of their last six games and after acquiring Marcus Stroman at the trade deadline, they're looking to sneak into the postseason via the Wild Card.

Things are looking brighter in Flushing, and the Amazins have the potential to mount a huge turnaround.
Losing McNeil would dent those chances, however. He's slashing .336/.396/.513 with 11 homers and 46 RBI on the year, proving to be as reliable as they come in the batter's box.
