Jerry Jones Clearly Has No Worries About Signing Ezekiel Elliott to Contract Extension
By Michael Luciano

With each passing day that there's no sight of Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott at the team's training camp in Oxnard, the possibility that Elliott might continue his holdout into the season becomes more and more possible.
In an attempt to quell suspicion that the Cowboys could let their superstar running back walk out the door, Jerry Jones responded to questions about Elliott's contract with that trademark sly, smug confidence you either love or hate.
Asked Jerry Jones if he was concerned about not being able to reach a deal with Ezekiel Elliott.

His response:
"When have I not been able to get a deal done.''
Elliott more than deserves his payday, as he's led the league in rushing in two of his three seasons, including this past year. He and Jim Brown are the only players to average more than 100 yards rushing per game for their career.
The ambivalence surrounding this deal stems from the fact that contracts for Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper are also in the works. In addition, Zeke is asking for record-breaking money that would obliterate the mark set by Todd Gurley.

Dallas has a championship roster, but the financial restrictions that come with adhering to the salary cap rules and regulations could make keeping this core together problematic. However, if you have trust in Jones and his ability to close a deal, then there shouldn't be much fear over losing Zeke.
