Jerry Jones has taken us on quite the emotional roller coaster over the last few days. In not even 72 hours, he's pivoted from asserting that start running back Ezekiel Elliott will be back with the Cowboys in time for Week 1 to assuming that he will miss some regular season games to taking more shots at him.

Jones is finally venting his frustration with the fact that Elliott is holding out despite the face he still has two more years left on his deal.

This isn't the first time that a member of the Jones family has hurled insults at Zeke's camp. Following his tongue-in-cheek "Zeke who?" diss that Elliott claims really upset him, Jerry's son Stephen claimed that the running back's agent, Rocky Arceneaux, doesn't have Zeke's best interests at heart.

With this latest barb from upper management, a new contract between Elliott and the Cowboys will be harder to come by as tensions continue to crop up.

Rather than riding off into the sunset after either an MVP or a Super Bowl, the Elliott era with the Dallas Cowboys might end because of a contentious contract negotiation.
