Jerry Jones Really Wants Us to Think He Hasn't Already Decided Jason Garrett's Future

Even the most delusional of football devotees would find it impossible to envision a world where Jason Garrett is coaching the Dallas Cowboys in 2020, right?
...Right?
Despite Jerry Jones being up to his neck in evidence that's begging him to can Garrett, Dallas' owner is still refusing to admit that he's come to a settlement on the HC's future.

"I know it’s a topic," Jones told USA Today following Dallas' deplorable loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. "That hasn’t been a focus. Everybody’s been asking, but it hasn’t been a focus of mine because I should and always have, at 50,000 feet, should be conscious of what’s going on in coaching -- not only in the NFL, but in all areas of football."
Come on, Jones. Spill the beans!

The Cowboys' boss then offered his thoughts on Dallas' humiliating showing, despite Philly being decimated by injuries.
"I thought we were prepared to play. I thought we could play better out here. I’m disappointed...You ought to be able to take a game like this and not let it impact you from being able to get into tournament. We just needed to come here and play well, and we didn’t."
When asked if that was on Garrett, Jones couldn't have provided a more foggy response. "It’s what it is. We’re past the point of who’s it on. We’ve just got to look at what it is," he continued.

All we're asking for is a little bit of transparency!
The writing (we like to think) is one the wall for Garrett to be axed. Whether that transpires this week, or immediately following the season, remains to be seen.
