Jerry Jones Keeps Leaving the Door Open for Bringing Back Jason Garrett and it's Infuriating

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has stuck with Jason Garrett at head coach for nearly an entire decade. The team got off to a 3-0 start this year only to finish at 8-8 and miss the postseason, however, reigniting calls for the coach's ouster.
That should all be enough for Jones to finally move on after several disastrous performances from his team in 2019. Yet Jones can't seem to let go, and has seemingly not yet decided if he will fire Garrett despite all the time in the world spent considering it.
Jerry Jones says he is not closing any doors when asked about the possibility of keeping Jason Garrett.

The madness has to stop. What would possibly change between now and, say, a month from now to convince him to keep Garrett? The Cowboys are supposed to be an global institution unto themselves, and Garrett has not advanced past the divisional round of the playoffs even once. That pretty much says it all.
Please, Jerry, don't be a prisoner of the 44-16 moment. Don't decide your "son" Jason Garrett "finished strong" and deserves another year. Don't waste next season, too.

The Cowboys lost four of their final six games, and a big win over a lowly Redskins team should not save Garrett's job. He couldn't even win the NFC East when a 9-7 record would have been good enough.
Jones has stuck by Garrett through the good and the bad, but no other NFL coach would have lasted this long without postseason success. Jones needs to take the emotions out of the decision and finally fire Garrett at long last.
