Jerry Remy is a beloved figure in Boston Red Sox broadcasts for NESN. So when he suffered a scare last August after his lung cancer returned, which caused him to miss the remainder of Boston's season, Sox fans were devastated.

But on Tuesday, Remy shared some great news on Twitter in regards to his health. Remy revealed that he had a "clean" scan from his latest doctor's visit and that he'll return to the booth for the remainder of the week.

After his baseball career came to an end, Remy found great success as a baseball broadcaster when he joined NESN back in 2001 as the network's color commentator. He was inducted into the Massachusetts Broadcaster Hall of Fame in 2017.

Despite missing out on the Red Sox's World Series run, Remy was present at the team's victory parade, where he exclaimed that he's "kicking cancer's ass." Shortly afterward, Remy announced that he was cancer-free and made his return to the booth during Spring Training.

With Remy now having clearance to call games for the remainder of this week, and possibly beyond that, Sox fans have to be ecstatic with this news.
