It's safe to say everyone was fooled by Antonio Brown and how things went down with him in Oakland, even the greatest receiver to play the game in Jerry Rice.

Straight up, Rice was not happy with how Brown ended up going from the Raiders to New England.

"We all got played," Rice said Monday morning on 95.7 The Game. "He contacted me, he told me he wanted to play ball here in the Bay Area. I bought into it because I can only take a man at his word, but I think this was already planned."

That's okay, Jerry. We should always take someone by their word, but the minute that trust is abused, you can't believe a word that comes out of that person's mouth moving forward.

Rice was a strong proponent of his San Francisco 49ers acquiring AB, but I bet they are sure glad they didn't bring him to town when you look at all the drama that transpired.

"I think when he asked to be released from the Steelers, he wanted to go to the Patriots," Rice said. "He wanted them to trade him to the Patriots. And there was no way that the Steelers would trade him to a rival. So, he had to go a different route. And he decided to come through the Bay Area. And I feel sorry for the fans over in Oakland.

"He was a Denzel Washington and he won the Oscar. He won an Oscar, guys. I’m gonna be honest with you."

You know, he might not be wrong. There was no way the Steelers would trade him to the Patriots, so he made a detour to the West Coast and made a complete fool of himself to get released.

That doesn't sound impossible with AB, but now the Pats have a headache on their hands.
