Jessica Mendoza Gets Worst of Both Worlds and Will No Longer Work for Mets or Sunday Night Baseball
By Michael Luciano

Jessica Mendoza's fall from a trailblazer and one of the most respected analysts in the business to someone ESPN couldn't get rid of fast enough has been jarring in just how quickly it went down.
Mendoza, who was recently employed as both a special advisor to the New York Mets and one of the two analysts in the Sunday Night Baseball booth, has since lost both positions. She resigned as a Mets special advisor and is no longer going to be in the Sunday Night booth.
Jessica Mendoza has resigned as a Met advisor and will no longer be on Sunday Night Baseball. She will remain on ESPN, doing weekday games, among other things.

Mendoza, who will still call weekday games with ESPN, received a great deal of criticism for attacking Houston Astros whistleblower Mike Fiers when the sign stealing scandal came to light. The conflict of interest between Mendoza, a team official, and her views on a scandal that resulted in the firing of Carlos Beltran was made painfully clear and obvious.
The Mets organization themselves apparently harbors no ill will towards Mendoza, as they wished her luck in an "expanded" role.
We are happy for Jessica Mendoza who will be expanding her role at ESPN. To focus more on those new responsibilities she will no longer be a Special Advisor to the @Mets. pic.twitter.com/FUyHiPVOMm

Classic Mets PR stuff.
Mendoza might still remain with ESPN, but she just lost one of the premier roles in all of baseball broadcasting, and it's tough to spin that in a positive light.
