Alex Verdugo and Jeter Downs were the two key Los Angeles Dodgers that came over to the Boston Red Sox in the deal that sent Mookie Betts and David Price to LA. Downs has already notched his first hit in Red Sox colors today against Northeastern, as he beat out an infield chopper for a single.

Not the loudest crack of the bat, but it goes down as a base hit regardless. Red Sox fans better hope they see quite a few more of those if they are counting on him to replace some of the production that Betts was able to provide.
