Jets Lineman Brian Winters Reportedly Played Through Torn Shoulder All Season Like a Psycho
By Parker White

New York Jets guard Brian Winters is dealing with a dislocated shoulder which he suffered during the win against the Giants... or so we thought.
While Winters did re-dislocate his shoulder on Sunday, it turns out the offensive lineman had actually been playing the entire season with a serious knock. Per Manish Mehta, Winters tore the front part of his shoulder during the preseason, but has been playing through the pain of the injury all season long.
Brian Winters didn’t just suffer a shoulder dislocation. I’m told he actually tore the entire front part of his shoulder in preseason. He played in excruciating pain with a brace all season. Never complained.

He was even advised to have surgery earlier, but refused.

Mehta reports that Winters has been playing through "excruciating pain" while wearing a brace all year, and despite having been advised to undergo surgery, the 28-year-old opted to continue playing.
That's dedication, especially when you consider he plays for the 2-7 Jets, who don't even have a shot at sniffing the playoffs.

Winters is now expected to undergo what would likely be season-ending surgery to repair the shoulder. And unfortunately, he isn't the only Jet who likely won't be coming back this year.
Tight end Chris Herndon, who only just returned to the field after missing the first nine weeks with a suspension and hamstring injury, suffered a fractured rib and is likely done for the remainder of the year as well.
