Sam Darnold's spleen? It's doing okay, apparently. After missing multiple weeks as he dealt with mononucleosis, the New York Jets have cleared their young quarterback to return to the field.

The timing could not be better. Gang Green will meet the Cowboys Sunday at the Meadowlands.

Darnold has missed the last three games due to his illness, and takes back the reins to try to give the Jets their first win of the season. Luke Falk had been dreadful in relief behind center, putting up three interceptions and zero touchdowns dating back to Week 2.

The Jets surely have more issues to address than simply their QB, but a dash of normalcy could go a long way as they attempt to get things rolling before the season has a chance to slip away completely.

In one game's worth of action against the Bills back in Week 1, Darnold was 28-of-41 for 175 yards and a touchdown in a one-point loss at home.
