Jets GM Joe Douglas is Claiming a Bunch of Former Eagles Players off Waivers

New York Jets GM Joe Douglas has gotten off to a hot start since being hired away from his role as the Philadelphia Eagles VP of Player Personnel. He put together an All-Star staff, won over the hearts of Jets fans, and even signed a center capable of making a shotgun snap (a big step for New York).

Now, he's going back to the well of his old stomping grounds to provide some depth to the Jets roster. In the last two days, the Jets have signed two players that were released by the Eagles after joining the team under Douglas' watch.

Igwebuike and Brown are hardly NFL starters, as the former has played in just 11 games over 2 seasons and the latter has never been active in a regular season matchup. Still, they're both young, athletic defensive backs for a team that desperately needs depth in the secondary.

If Douglas is the star that the media and fans believe him to be, there's no reason for him not to trust the evaluations he already made with his old team.
