Jim Edmonds Unleashes Bizarre 'Breaking News' Post on Instagram Addressing His Cheating Allegations

Former St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Jim Edmonds came out on Monday to vehemently deny the rumors that he cheated on his wife, "Real Houswives of Orange County" star Meghan King, with the family's nanny.

Regardless of what side of the tale that you believe, the celebrity couple are headed toward a divorce after five years of marriage.

Well, the former four-time All-Star continued to profess his innocence on Monday evening in a ludicrous Instagram post that is markedly difficult to translate. On a side note, we're not so sure that Edmonds understands what stands as "Breaking News."

As the puzzling caption states in full, "** BREAKING NEWS ** It’s one thing to be accused of something. It’s another thing to be so negligent and so careless, and ruin the lives of innocent young people.. I did not sleep with our nanny. She’s not just a nanny, she is someone that we brought into our house and promised to protect and look after while she was in our home. We have been treating and raising this young girl like she is our own child! For someone to accuse me of sleeping with her is not only wrong, it’s disgusting and irresponsible. Just because I am an athlete and I was portrayed as a bad person on bravo TV. Doesn’t mean I don't have a clue what life is all about."

It's really OK if you are utterly confounded, because we are, too.

Was anybody else bewildered by Edmonds' choice of photo? Why not post a picture of your wife and two kids, as opposed to your feature article on Sporting News Magazine to address the distasteful allegations surrounding your name?

We're just relieved that Edmonds understands that life isn't "all about" cheating on your wife of five years with underaged babysitters, who he, apparently, has been raising like his own child.

If you claim that this Instagram post isn't the strangest thing you've read on this Monday, well, we just don't believe you.
