Jim Nantz Reveals He Was Nervous Chiefs TE Travis Kelce Was Going to Drop an F-Bomb in Postgame Interview
By Brendan Balsamo

After the trophy presentation during the postgame of the AFC Championship Game on Sunday, Jim Nantz was told in his earpiece by his producers to cut off the interview after Patrick Mahomes was done talking.
Nantz, however, saw that Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce wanted to speak, so he disobeyed his producers and let the tight end talk.

Well, Kelce was going ballistic on stage, fired up over the win, but all the while Nantz kept a firm grip on his microphone. The tight end ended up screaming into the mic, "You gotta fight for your right to party!"
Nantz admitted afterwards that he was nervous Kelce was about to drop an f-bomb on national television when he said the word "fight," and worried he had just made a huge mistake.

Thankfully for Nantz, and young football fans watching the postgame trophy ceremony, no f-bomb was dropped and football, however violent, remained PG.
Hopefully Nantz will avoid getting chewed out by his producers after Kelce kept things relatively tame with his comments.
