JJ And TJ Watt Are Bizarrely Tied for the NFL Lead in QB Hits
By Michael Luciano
The Manning and Matthews clans have long been wrestling for the unofficial title of the NFL's most successful family, but there is very clearly a third option that must be considered here and now.
Three Watt brothers are starting in the NFL right now, as Derek is the fullback for the Los Angeles Chargers, TJ is a pass rusher for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and future Hall of Famer JJ is still wrecking gameplans on the outside with the Houston Texans. TJ might finally be catching up to his big bro, too, as both of them have recorded a league-best 14 quarterback hits through six games.
We know that JJ is as dominant a three-tech lineman as this game has seen in the last few decades, but the emergence of TJ is definitely something to keep an eye on.
Even on a struggling Steelers team -- and while fighting through his fair share of double-teams -- Watt has continued to get to the quarterback and give the Pittsburgh defense some respectability.
The Watt boys can lay claim to the title of best brother duo in the league right now, though they have to be looking over their shoulders at the Bosa brothers and what they're doing out west.
