JJ Redick Reportedly Agrees to 2-Year Deal With Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans, under the leadership of their new and highly capable front office boss, just keep making smart moves to keep them relevant in the present and potentially dangerous in the future. And at the start of NBA free agency, the latest buzz is another win in their column. Per Woj, JJ Redick is coming to New Orleans.
Free agent guard JJ Redick has agreed to a two-year, $26.5M deal to join the New Orleans Pelicans, league sources tell ESPN.

Though he just turned 35, a keen floor-spacer like Redick is more than worth a hair over $13 million per year over two years. He's a surprisingly able athlete, and though he isn't the same guy defensively that he was at the top of his prime, he still provides two-way value on the wing. And don't forget about the shooting: he's 41% from deep in his career and 89% from the line.

Redick was an important member of the Philadelphia 76ers teams that saw The Process come to fruition. Now, he embarks on a new adventure with another up-and-coming team full of promise. Nice work if you can get it.
