JJ Watt Posts Health Update on Instagram Following Chest Surgery
By Jerry Trotta
Some rough news came about in the aftermath of the Houston Texans' narrow victory over the Oakland Raiders at NRG Stadium on Sunday, as All-Pro defensive end JJ Watt took to social media to announce that he will likely miss the rest of the season with a torn pectoral.
Fast forward to Tuesday, and the three-time Defensive Player of the Year disclosed on Instagram that he underwent successful surgery. What made the relieving revelation all the more comforting is the fact that Watt shouted out the Houston Astros, who would win the World Series with a victory over the Washington Nationals tonight, while sporting their apparel.
If this doesn't confirm that JJ is simply the best, then we don't know what will, and we wish him a speedy recovery.
On a side note, we advise that Watt log out of his Twitter account before first pitch tonight, as his prescribed pain pills will likely have him feeling all sorts of loopy!
Reports indicate that Watt is expected to be fully recovered from surgery within four months, and that timetable sets him up perfectly to start preparing for 2020 once the offseason hits.
That's tremendous news because everybody knows that the NFL is better with him on the field.
