The Wild Card Round clash between the Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills delivered all sorts of uncanny storylines.

From special teams controversy, to a braindead lateral by Josh Allen, to woeful officiating, viewers were treated to something supernatural.

Among the countless narratives was JJ Watt's improbable comeback from pectoral surgery, an injury that had most pundits convinced he'd be sidelined for the remainder of the season. To say that the superstar edge rusher was satisfied with his decision to return (albeit on a limited basis) would be an understatement.

It was absolutely worth it. The Texans were far from perfect in the game, but ultimately walked away with a win thanks to a field goal in overtime.

Watt was held to a predetermined snap count, but Buffalo absolutely felt his presence in his limited action. His most important contribution came in the third quarter with Houston trailing 13-0.

On a 3rd-and-8, with the Texans desperate for a third-down stop, No.99 provided just that by storming into Buffalo's backfield and sacking Josh Allen well behind the line of scrimmage.

Welcome back, indeed.

It's simply impossible to describe the contagious grit and passion that Watt exudes. He'll now have a week to rest up ahead of the Divisional Round.
