Joe Burrow Says Coach O Forced Restaurant to Go Find 15 Pounds of Crawfish During His Recruitment

LSU head coach Ed Orgeron, known fondly as "Coach O," is a truly one-of-a kind individual. From his incredibly unique voice, which has led to countless entertaining interviews, to his outright passion for coaching, there's hardly a more likable figure in college football.
Well, Heisman hopeful and Tigers star QB Joe Burrow revealed an interesting anecdote from his recruitment to LSU, referencing a dinner with Coach O. This was no ordinary dinner, however, as when Orgeron found out the restaurant didn't serve crawfish, he commanded the manager to get 15 pounds of it and cook it for him and Burrow.
Joe Burrow said that during his recruitment, he went out to dinner with Ed Orgeron. When they got to the restaurant, Orgeron found out they didn’t serve crawfish. So Orgeron had the restaurant manager go out and get 15 lbs of crawfish and cook it for them anyway. That’s peak O.

One can only imagine Coach O demanding crawfish in his gravelly voice. And why he demanded 15 freaking pounds of it? Well, probably just because he could.
Burrow was probably feeling somewhere between sheer awe at Coach O's demands, as well as impressed by the fact that the coach got his wish in the end. Ultimately, Coach O's bold commands at dinner didn't turn Burrow away from the program.
Ed Orgeron began his coaching career as a graduate assistant for Northwestern State, where he lived in a locker room, sleeping on a cot.

It's no wonder Burrow chose to transfer from Ohio State and join the Tigers program in Baton Rouge. How could you turn down someone like Coach O? Especially after he summons 15 pounds of crawfish at the snap of his fingers.
