Joe Girardi Reportedly Considering Bo Bichette's Father Dante as Phillies' Next Hitting Coach
By Parker White

If you know your baseball, then you know that Toronto Blue Jays rookie infielder Bo Bichette is one of the best hitters we've seen at his age. Well, who do you think taught him what he knows?
That would be his dad, who happens to be former Colorado Rockies slugger Dante Bichette, and according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, he be a candidate to be the Philadelphia Phillies' next hitting coach under new skipper Joe Girardi.
Unconfirmed but some would not be shocked Joe Girardi considered great friend Dante Bichette, his former Rockies teammate and dad of Bo, for Phillies hitting coach. Girardi did not return a text message.

Heyman did not go as far as confirming that Bichette is an official candidate for the job, but with Girardi now at the helm in Philly, there are some who wouldn't be shocked to see his friend and former Rockies teammate get the opportunity.
However, according to Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia, there's a chance the Phillies bring back fellow former MLB veteran Matt Stairs back, who was their hitting coach in 2017.
A lot of good insight in here including: “The Phillies also have a vacancy for the hitting coach job. It would not be surprising to see them consider a reunion with Matt Stairs, their hitting coach in 2017.” https://t.co/5pqors43YA

Bichette was the hitting coach for the Colorado Rockies back in 2013, so he is familiar with the day-to-day regimen. Don't be surprised if Girardi picks up the phone.
