Joe Haden and Steelers Have Held Discussions on Contract Extension
By Aaron Halford

Former Pro Bowl cornerback Joe Haden and the Pittsburgh Steelers have engaged in discussions about a contract extension, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Haden is coming off a nice 2018 season in which he took home an AFC Player of the Week honor, finishing with two interceptions. Haden appears optimistic that a deal will get done.

Ever since being released by the Cleveland Browns prior to the 2017 season, Haden has talked about how much he loves the Steelers organization, so it's no surprise the two are working towards a new deal. Entering the final year of a three-year deal, Haden is slated to make a base salary of $10 million this season.
Joe Haden was super excited to hear Mike a Tomlin got a contract extension upon arriving at #SteelersCamp. Also said he’s optimistic a deal will get done for him as well. Haden said there is communication between his agent and the #Steelers right now.

I would expect Haden's extension to be one or two years considering the former star cornerback's advancing age. At 30 years old, it's fair to say he only has a few more good years left in the tank, especially if he continues to rely on shadowing the division's top wide receivers one-on-one.
