Joe Maddon and His Wife Took Out a Full Page Ad in the Chicago Tribune to Thank Cubs Fans

Joe Maddon's tenure with the Chicago Cubs may have ended on a sour note, but that doesn't mean it was something he wasn't thankful for.
The former skipper of the North Side squad and his wife, Jaye Maddon, took out a full page advertisement in the Chicago Tribune to thank Cubs fans for their support during his five-year stint (arguably the best in franchise history) with the team.
It's an act of class that should serve as a reminder to the fans that at the end of the day, there are far too many good times to reflect on to stay upset with new manager of the Los Angeles Angels.
This is the 2015 NL Manager of the Year who helped turn this team around. This is the man who finally put an end to the team's dreaded 108-year World Series drought in 2016.
Maddon, the Cubs and their fans were perfect for each other. They carried an honest, upfront, World Series-or-bust attitude with them throughout his time with the team.
Things may have gone south in the final couple years, but none of it can erase the inseparable bond that now exists between Maddon and the curse-breaking Cubs.
