Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant is said to be "feeling better" after a collision on Sunday that led him to be sidelined for tonight's game. Despite not being listed in the lineup, the former NL MVP was spotted fielding some grounders Tuesday, indicating that he will not be out for long.

The injury occurred when Bryant ran into center fielder Jason Heyward in the sixth inning of their matchup against the Reds at Wrigley Field. His bat is a crucial one for this Cubs offense, and they will need the young star back on the diamond as soon as possible.

Bryant is in the midst of adding yet another successful season to his resumé. The two-time MLB All-Star is hitting .283 with 12 HRs and 34 RBIs, helping the Cubs remain at the top of the NL Central.

In his absence, the organization will rely on the likes of Javier Báez and Willson Contreras to collectively pick up the slack while Bryant recovers. However, they will lean most heavily on Anthony Rizzo. The three-time All-Star 1B is hitting .500 with 4 HRs and 11 RBIs over his last seven games, more than making up for the power that the Cubs have been missing.

Until Bryant's return, the Chicago Cubs are in good hands.
