Embiid appeared to get tangled up with Ante Zizic and hurt his shoulder in the process. The severity is not yet known, but Embiid did look to be in some pain when it happened. Not being able to return to the game is also a bad sign.
Joel Embiid left the 76ers game against the Cavaliers for the locker room after a shoulder injury, only to return to the bench and then exit for the locker room again. Now he’s ruled out with a left shoulder sprain.

The 76ers entered halftime down double-digits to the 16-41 Cavaliers and it is clear the team is lost without both Simmons and Embiid on the court. Any long-term diagnosis would all but end Philly's playoff hopes. For now the team, and fans, are holding out hope Embiid can make a quick recovery.
