Joel Embiid Oddly Called Nikola Jokic His 'Childhood Hero' After 76ers-Nuggets Clash

On Wednesday, the Nuggets faced the 76ers in a battle between two of the best teams in the NBA.
More importantly though, Nikola Jokic went up against Joel Embiid. These big men have both been in the conversation for best center in the league for the past couple years, so this matchup held major significance.

The topic of who's better between the two is very controversial among fans, but the two centers seem like they couldn't care less, especially based on Embiid's comments after the game.
Embiid complimented Jokic for his game and then said he was “his childhood hero” so take that for whatever it’s worth

Ummmm...that doesn't make much sense. Embiid called Jokic his "childhood hero," yet the Serbian is actually a year younger than the 76ers big man.

Can we get some more clarity here? Is this just the usual trolling Embiid? Or did he say this to deflect conversation regarding comparisons between the two? We have yet another head-scratching situation involving the mercurial big man that may never get resolved.
