John and Kelly set up the Jordan Fund back in 2003 to help raise money and awareness for special needs children. The fund is geared towards helping both the children and their families live comfortable and happy lives.
Olerud spent 19 years at the big league level. In 1993, he served as a vital piece to the Blue Jays' eventual World Series-wining team, finishing third in AL MVP voting after leading the league in doubles (54), batting average (.363) and OPS (1.072). He went on to star for the Mariners later in his career, starting the All-Star Game as a member of the 2001 Seattle team that won 116 games.
Our hearts go out to John and Kelly Olerud on the passing of their daughter Jordan. They are in our thoughts at this difficult time. If you would like to make a donation, please go to https://t.co/v5OamGbjCF.
